Oz magazine was the key counter culture publication of the late 1960s, and the subject of a major and historically important obscenity trial in 1971. Two years later, it ceased publication.

The magazines – edited by Richard Neville, Jim Anderson and Felix Dennis – began life in Australia, but was most important in its London incarnation. It would infkuence other counter culture magazines that became increasingly mainstream, and shifted the style for pop culture, music and lifestyle magazines throughout the 1970s.

You can download complete copies of every issue, thanks to the University of Wollagong in Australia. An essential collection for anyone interested in underground publishing and British obscenity law.
