As wild as movie trailers from the golden age of exploitation cinema might be, nothing quite matches the craved intensity of the radio spot – stripped of imagery and reduced to between thirty and sixty seconds in order to sell a film, all restraint is pushed aside as the narrator gives it his – or her – all to convince you that this film will go beyond anything that you’ve seen before – even if it is PG rated.
