Haters are, presumably, gonna hate and morons gonna moron as usual, but fuck ’em – the fact that there is a new Babymetal single is a cause for unbridled celebration. Distortion was unleashed today, in advance of the new world tour, and comes with a video that is genuinely spectacular and a sound that strips back some of the poppy elements and suggests a new musical maturity for the band. It’s rather impressive.
